Swansea City v Liverpool: Squad sheets - The Guardian

Brendan Rodgers returns to the Liberty Stadium for the first time since swapping Swansea for Liverpool. A glance at the table would suggest he made the wrong move – Swansea are one place and one point ahead of the Merseysiders – but Rodgers remains optimistic about his current club's prospects, and perhaps should be given they are undefeated in seven league games and have the division's top scorer in Luis Suárez. It was the hosts, however, who won 3-1 when these sides met in the Capital One Cup last month. Sachin Nakrani

Match pointers

• Only Manchester City have lost fewer away games than Liverpool this season

• Swansea had failed to score in their previous five games against Liverpool before beating them 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium last season

• Liverpool have kept only one clean sheet in their past 12 top-flight away matches

• If selected, Ashley Williams will be making his 50th Premier League appearance

• If Luis Suárez continues scoring at his current rate he will become only the third Liverpool player to score 20 or more Premier League goals in a season after Robbie Fowler (1994-95) and Fernando Torres (2007-08)
