Borussia Dortmund will offer Nuri Sahin a route back to the Bundesliga this month after reacting to a signal that Liverpool want to cut short the Real Madrid midfielder's season-long loan at Anfield.

After returning Joe Cole to his former club West Ham, Liverpool now want to further trim their wage bill by offloading Sahin, following a disappointing first half to his temporary stay on Merseyside.

Dortmund would first have to find a way of financing earnings of around 70,000 a week, but they are ready to act after coach Jurgen Klopp made it clear he wanted the 24-year-old back in his midfield.

Disappointing: Sahin has not had the impact Liverpool had hoped for

Just need Joe Allen & Borrini out now... Followed by Rodgers

The whole situation just makes me sad. I want it to be cleared up one way or another soon.

@joecos, your wrong,,.. He didn't turn up for the medical there..... He also said on his interview he turned them down.... But he too light weight for the prem.... Also he on more than 70k a week.

Very disappointed how this has been handled. Top quality player yet he has not got a proper run in the side for whatever reason. Good luck if wherever you go Nuri

Lolol the penny pinchers at Liverpool have funked up again. 5 million and 4 million in wages for a loan is mental. That's another 9 million gone along with the 12 million on Joe cole and 40 million plus on Carroll, it's obscene and insane

Sahin is not our player, he's on loan and has not adjusted well to the rigours of the Premier League so it wouldn't make sense persisting with him. He has talent but a rugged league requires more than just talent. You have to have the guts to deal with it and I did not get the impression that he was willing or able to put his body on the line for the team. He's seems to be a 'nice guy' and will be more successful in Germany. If he goes I certainly wish him all the very best as he excelled at Dortmund and there's no reason why he cant do it again. It would offer him a fresh start in an environment that he relishes.

Sain:Munich : Sahin never wanted to come to Liverpool, his first choice was the Gunners, But once again Liverpool offered him a wedge he could not refuse, i am beginning to think we will never learn .

Don't know why it hasn't worked out for him. The situation has seemed to turned sour as soon as he broke his nose at udinese for some reason.
