Liverpool believe they have resolved the cash wrangle over Daniel Sturridge's proposed move to Anfield and expect to confirm that a deal has been agreed in the next 48 hours.

The 12million-plus transfer was in danger of collapsing after Liverpool took exception to agents' demands over sell-on fees and threatened to pull out.

But Sportsmail understands agreement has been reached over the terms of the 23-year old Chelsea frontrunner's departure from Stamford Bridge to reinforce a depleted Liverpool strike force.

Sportsmail first revealed Liverpool's pursuit of Sturridge at the end of August.

This guy has got "DUD" written all over him.

I hope they didn't give in to the agents!

Didnt think Chelsea would get as much as 12 Million for Sturridge. Dont think there will be many who will miss him. Greedy, selfish player with massive ego

He's about one third of Caroll's price but he can be 3.times better than Caroll.

@ staygold red arrowed but your comment is spot on

This guy can score goals when in the team. At Chelsea he hasn't had a decent run in their team. He will score goals for us.... (IF he signs) and he only young :)

Average team signs average player. Extraordinary sums of money change hands.

Do away with agents, if these players can't agree their own terms and have to have their hands held they should not be in the game. I did not take my mum with me to my job interviews!

I cant wait to see people eat their words about this kid...not a pool fan but very good move for sturridge career wise, deal even have a buy back clause.

Huntelaar, Ba, Llorente only 7 million. Hondo only 11 million. And we go for 12 million Sturridge, baffling transfer policy.
