"Tragic": Ella Henderson gets Twitter support from celebrities including, er ... - Mirror.co.uk

Little Ella Henderson's departure from the X Factor last night was certainly unexpected, and of course the only way to express upset with such matters is to take to Twitter. Celebs and viewers alike roared their disgust in quickly typed messages that often didn't make sense at the talented 16 year old's exit from the show.

Twitter has been kind to Ella in the past, with a tweet from Adele securing comparisons of the two and giving her a huge boost in past weeks.

And as she left the show she proved she certainly has a lot of famous fans, with celebs from Kitty Brucknall to Stephen Fry despairing over her departure when the vote went to deadlock.

Steps star H was distraught: "NOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! I thought @Ella__Henderson was going to WIN !!!!!!! @thexfactor !!!!!"

TOWIE singing supremo Arg was "gutted" at the result, saying "Cant believe @Ella__Henderson gone! She deserved to be in the final and more."

3am's Beth with Arg. Nothing happened, to be clear

Fellow reality star Millie Mackintosh asked "How did @Ella__Henderson just get voted out? Wtf is going on! #xfactor" Your guess is as good as ours, Mills.

Tom Daley decided to fence sit, but told us before the sing off that "I think I prefer @Ella__Henderson :/"

Teen starlet Chloe Grace Moretz of Kick Ass fame is apparently going to boycott the X Factor now: "Not watching #XFactorUK anymore. Such a rig." Don't get her riled, she's got a kick on her.

Fellow X Factor contestants, current and past showed their support for Ella. Union J called her the 5th member "@Ella__Henderson we will always love you! You are going to have the most amazing career.. Tour next year :D you're the 5th member! J G JJ JA".

They've also said that X Factor hairdresser Jamie Stevens should be their 5th member this morning, so we're not sure how much of an honour this is...

Kye Sones, former deadlock victim said he was "Gutted for @ella__henderson but she will be massive anyway!! Shes amazing!!"

Kitty Brucknall, long term X Factor philosopher, pulled in a fantastic series of tweets, "how the f*** did Ella get voted bottom???? HOW?????? British public BE ASHAMED." "IM FUMING. SO SO ANGRY." We've angered her. Beware.

Before going on to explain her thoughts about the voting process "Here's the thing. I love Rylan, I think he is something different and entertaining. And to be honest, twitter votes don't seem to matter" Not quite sure what 'twitter votes' are there Kitty…

"Frankie Cocozza had LOADS of twitter followers last year and was still not voted for...it's not anything to do with twitter." Kitty seems to have forgotten Frankie didn't leave the competition via a public vote.

And Leona Lewis also thought the process was unfair, saying there was "No way should Ella and James be singing against eachother!"

Celebrity Juice host Keith Lemon showed his disgust at her leaving "t'X Factor", and even threatened to enter himself next year. Best leave that to the professionals, Keith.

Philip Schofield tweeted a picture of himself, Ella and fellow This Morning host Holly Willoughby after Ella appeared on the show with the simple caption "lovely Ella". Aww.

Even Stephen Fry, with a quick change of interest after performing Shakespeare in the West End, joined in: "No X-Factor fan but I've seen enough to be gobsmacked how imbecilic the voting public is. One shakes one head in utter despair. Tragic." Lovely to see X Factor grief expressed in such intellectual language. We couldn't have put it better ourselves.

X Factor head honcho Simon Cowell even added his two cents, simply saying "Ella! Gone??? Unbelievable." Hopefully this will mean a SYCO record deal for young Ella who has spoken about her dreams of writing her own material and releasing an album next year. Watch this space.
