Fulham v Arsenal: match preview - Telegraph.co.uk

Team News

Midfielder Scott Parker could go straight into the Fulham side for the Barclays Premier League match against Arsenal after his move from Tottenham.

However, both goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg (shoulder) and Kieran Richardson (hamstring) miss out, the defender likely to sidelined for a month.

Striker Darren Bent, on loan from Aston Villa, is pressing for a start after being on the bench in the 1-0 opening-day win at Sunderland, and midfielder Alex Kacaniklic is available again following a hamstring problem, but summer signing Fernando Amorebieta, the Venezuela defender, is not yet match fit.

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny is suspended for the Barclays Premier League clash with Fulham.

Koscielny sustained a head wound during Wednesday night's Champions League qualifier against Fenerbahce, making him a doubt for the second leg at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.

Defender Thomas Vermaelen (back), midfielder Abou Diaby (knee), midfielder Mikel Arteta (thigh) and midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) are continuing their rehabilitation.

Match Notes

This London derby will have an added spice now that Scott Parker has joined the former Spurs contingent at Craven Cottage. Arsenal's morale is revived after their Champions League victory over Fenerbahce but they are still nursing a number of injuries. Fulham have lost just one of their last five fixtures against Arsenal so this should be a close contest.

Betting: Home 5-2, Away 11-10, Draw 23-10.

Stat of the game: 6. Darren Bent has scored six goals in his last eight Premier League games against Arsenal.

Bob Williams's prediction: 1-2.
