12:36PM EDT October 28. 2012 - The latest injury updates as Sunday's Week 8 action prepares to unfold:
Shocker: London Fletcher has reported for work. Despite coping with hamstring and mysterious balance issues over the last week, the Washington Redskins linebacker will play in his 232nd consecutive game Sunday, extending the longest streak in the NFL. The Redskins had previously ruled out wideout Pierre Garcon (foot). Jonathan Dwyer will again start at running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers with Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman down.
Jordy Nelson's bum hamstring will keep him out of action for the Green Bay Packers. With Greg Jennings slated for surgery, that means James Jones and Randall Cobb stand to get most of the outside targets while veteran Donald Driver should see his role expand.
A toe injury will snap New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott's streak of games played at 119.
Donald Brown, who had knee surgery earlier this month, is available to the Indianapolis Colts but will not start. Robert Mathis' sprained knee will keep him on the sideline. Middle linebacker Colin McCarthy will play for the Tennessee Titans.
Most of the New England Patriots' studs will go, including Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski and Brandon Lloyd, however all-pro guard Logan Mankins (calf/hip) is out. And if you missed it, tight end Aaron Hernandez did not travel to London. Despite optimism he could return, St. Louis Rams wideout Danny Amendola (collarbone) is out and will have two more weeks to recover.
Cleveland Browns rookie tailback is active, though it remains to be seen if his ribs will allow him to be more effective than he was last week when he was benched after rushing for just 8 yards.
As expected, Blaine Gabbert's injury to his non-throwing shoulder will not prevent him from starting in Green Bay. Rashad Jennings starts for Maurice Jones-Drew at tailback.
A bum knee will not allow Seattle Seahawks reserve wideout to play. The Detroit Lions are missing quite a few defenders with DeAndre Levy, Bill Bentley, Amari Spievey and Jacob Lacey out.
