Daniel Agger is delighted to see Pepe Reina back to his best after hailing his display against Wigan as "world class".
Reina has endured a difficult time and his reign as the Reds' No 1 has been questioned because of several mistakes.
Agger felt the Spain goalkeeper was faultless in Liverpool's 4-0 win over Wigan and he made a string of outstanding saves.
"Pepe was world class against Wigan," said the Danish centre-half. "He had a few great saves and he deserves a lot of credit for his performance.
"It says it all if you can have a goalkeeper you can rely on at the back, both with the feet and on the line. Against Wigan, he showed the best of himself."
Liverpool's resounding win over the Latics was their third in succession and Agger hopes they are becoming more consistent after an erratic campaign.
"I hope we are beginning to find some consistency because that's what we need," he said. "It's vital to get as high up the table as possible. That's the target."
Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers will have money to spend this summer even though Liverpool's latest financial results show their debt rose £22million to £87.2million.
The figures cover last season under Kenny Dalglish and the club's finances have since been boosted by a £46.8million interest-free loan from American owners FSG and the £25million-a-year Warrior kit deal.
Rodgers will continue the club's policy of offloading high-earning fringe players and Andy Carroll will be told to find another club if he does not join West Ham permanently in the summer.
Managing Director Ian Ayre said: "These financial results are now up to 18 months old and show that we have made some good progress towards putting the financial health of the club on a firmer footing."
