Brendan Rodgers wants Chelsea winger Victor Moses on a season-long loan at Liverpool.
Moses, who travelled with the Chelsea squad to Manchester and may make the bench on Monday night for the game against Man United, can leave Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea want a 2million loan fee for the 22-year-old, but Liverpool will try to secure his release on reduced terms. Moses earns 55,000 a week at Chelsea and Liverpool are reluctant to match that.

But they are still hopefuly of a deal as Moses prepares to leave Chelsea before the transfer deadline on September 2.
Rodgers hopes his long-standing relationship with Mourinho will help steer the deal in Liverpool's direction this week.
Moses has been told that Chelsea are unlikely to agree to his sale, but they will let the winger leave for a season.
Come on Jose! Brendan Rodgers has a good relationship with Mourinho and will try and secure kind terms
The chances of Moses and Juan Mata of getting in the Chelsea team have been reduced by the 30m arrival of Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala.
Moses has yet to make an appearance for Chelsea under Mourinho. Atletico Madrid want Mata on loan.

can't understand why chelsea aren't fighting to keep Mata. ..he was their best player last season.

Backwards step, moving to a lower club like Liverpool especially a player so talented. Liverpool have history and Suarez otherwise mid table dwellers, luckily enough all prem teams have FA cup and CapitalOne cup, otherwise their prospects of silverware is laughable!

I'm tired of reading stupid biased comments on here from so called fans who are so slanted in their views that they couldn't see past the end of their collective noses. Fact, a top professional player will need & want to be playing competitively and the amount of time a manager is able to keep the player happy sat on the bench is limited. Chelsea know this and so do the other teams around them, especially with a world cup looming.

As a chelsea fan I'm against this move. Not because I particularly like Moses (I think he's an excellent player) but because I feel like Liverpool pose a threat to Chelsea especially if things don't go very well at the top for us. There is a possibility that we might have to fight Liverpool for 3rd or 4th place and I don't want a chelsea player to be helping them. - the philosopher, staffordshire, United Kingdom, 26/8/2013 12:58................ Wow, you comment is very flattering to us! I don't think you need to worry. Chelsea will likely finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd. If you lend us Moses it may help us take points off the teams rivaling you for the top couple of places and help us squeeze 4th - bonus all round!

"Could be good! he has talent. What worries me is the lack of Investment in Liverpool. Still the Club have sold more than they have bought this summer. I think we need to recognize the job Brendan Rodgers is doing With very Limited funding!!" -Peter the great , Europe, Brunei ******* "Liverpool" and "limited funding". That's like an oxymoron, right?

@Steve, Dartford , Kent. Nobody more classless than Chelsea. The arrogance emanating from that club is staggering considering they are only the 3rd biggest team in London and the 8th biggest in the League. Proper football clubs like Man Utd, Arsenal , Liverpool , Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle have more class in their little fingers than Chelsea will ever have. Chelsea are classless, rotten and morally bankrupt.

Being a season ticket holder and kopite I welcome any quality and both players mentioned in this article are quality and Chelsea fans should not worry about us pipping them to 1st 2nd 3rd or even forth spot, but we could help taking points off their rivals for them spots! Mata would be welcome but doubt he would want to come to Liverpool as we are not the force or the magnet for money and limelight hungry players...mercenary players will always rather go to London or big bucks City than come to LFC for its pedigree back in the 70s and 80s. Let em if that's their choice,

Loaning a player is a good idea, so long as there a definite option to buy at the end. We shouldn't be developing a player just to hand him back at the end of the season. If he can add something to the squad, then bring him in
