Arsene Wenger is planning a major January transfer spending spree to revive Arsenal's flagging season.
The Gunners boss has targeted THREE key areas to strengthen his squad and will make a £7million bid for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha.
would be ready to move for Manchester City's Edin Dzeko if he is available in the next window.
Wenger also wants a new potential No1 keeper to compete with Wojciech Szczesny and they will bid for Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha in January to give them more width.
Arsenal have made it clear to Wenger there is money to spend and attacking options is his priority and the Frenchman has been a long-time admirer of Dzeko.
Dzeko is frustrated and wants more regular starts than he is getting at City while Wenger tried and failed to sign the powerful centre forward before he moved to the Etihad.
Wenger's big centre forward signing Olivier Giroud is beginning to come good but Arsenal's squad has looked light in recent weeks and Wenger's scouts have also been watching Atletico Madrid's Adrian Lopez and Athletico Bilbao's Fernando Llorente.
They also want a wide player with Theo Walcott and Andrey Arshavin in the final year of their contracts and if Walcott goes in January - with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City - the need will be even greater.
Zaha, 20, is Arsenal's top target and they will bid £7m in January but there has also been interest in QPR's Adel Taarabt as a back-up option if Palace do not sell. QPR boss Mark Hughes confirmed there has been plenty of interest in Taarabt but they do not want to sell.
Wenger also wants a keeper to challenge Szczesny as stand-in Vito Mannone is out of his depth and Lukasz Fabianski has been out injured.
They were keen on Swansea's Michel Vorm last summer and one former target, Liverpool's Pepe Reina is also available.
