Liverpool boss Brendan Rogers is plotting a summer swoop for Malaga midfielder Manuel Iturra, writes the Sunday People.
The 28-year-old Chilean will be available on a free when his contract runs out in June.
The Spanish outfit have opened negotiations over a new deal with Iturra but would still listen to offers of around £3million for him at the end of the season.
However, the player is aware he will secure better terms at a new club if he becomes a free agent and is set to reject any new terms on offer at Malaga.
Meanwhile, Jose Enrique now understands the method in Brendan Rodgers' madness.
