Arsene Wenger previews this week's Champions League fixtures, including the visit of Schalke to the Emirates Stadium to take on his Arsenal side.

The French tactician knows the Gunners face a tough test in their third Group B match - as they always do in games against German opposition, according to Wenger.

The coach also looks at Malaga, who he labels as the surprise package of the competition so far, as the Spanish side prepare to meet Milan at home.

"I thought they could struggle but they have rebuilt impressively," Wenger says.

Another side to impress Wenger so far has been BATE Borisov - although the Belarusian team's success has not surprised the Arsenal boss.

BATE currently top Group F, having beaten Lille and Bayern Munich, leaving Wenger full of praise for their young coach Viktor Goncharenko.

As for Manchester United, who play Sporting Braga at Old Trafford on Wednesday, Wenger is confident the Premier League side will avoid the problems they suffered last season, when Alex Ferguson's side failed to make it out of the group stage.

"United are not going to make same mistakes as last season — they should be okay against Braga," he says. "Portuguese sides do not travel that well."
