Manchester City v Liverpool: Squad sheets - The Guardian

Now is the time for Manchester City to go on a long run of wins. As the tilt at retaining their championship gets serious, the 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture indicates that Liverpool might not be the easiest side against which to start this quest. Until the draw at QPR on Tuesday evening, City had strung together four league wins on the trot, their best sequence of the campaign. Liverpool have not managed more than two consecutive wins this season yet they stand seven points behind fourth-placed Tottenham and still harbour hopes of Champions League qualification. Another draw would boost those prospects. Jamie Jackson
