Liverpool PR official Jen Chang accused of warning man behind parody Twitter ... - Telegraph.co.uk

"Jenkins" uploaded to his blog on Friday what appeared to be an exchange of emails and Twitter messages between him and Chang, adding that the pair met in Manchester. He claimed that, during the meeting, "to my absolute shock Chang told me he had hired people to find me. He told me what they knew about me, about my family, about my dad's business [he named the business] and about the work I did. It seemed clear to me that this much was in fact true - given the level of knowledge he had about me and my family."

Liverpool did not respond to questions about the dispute on Friday.

Meanwhile the Anfield club may have to fight to get any compensation for stricken striker Borini after it emerged he was injured prior to joining the Italian Under-21s.

Borini has been diagnosed with a fractured right foot and, in usual circumstances, clubs are compensated when players are hurt while away with their country.

The 21 year-old was already struggling with an ankle problem when he left Merseyside, a problem he has been playing with since the Manchester United game three weeks ago. Liverpool insist the latest setback is a new injury, and any compensation would be minimal as he is not a high earner.

Borini could be out for up to three months, but Liverpool hope he will be back much sooner.

In the meantime, Brendan Rodgers is left to look towards his youngsters as cover for Luis Suárez.
