Where in London can I buy a kilt? - Telegraph.co.uk

If your budget stretches a little further, London Kilt Maker offers an over-the-phone kilt-making service. They will research and send you material samples, then call to run through self-measurement instructions. Expect to pay from £150 to around £600 for an eight-yard kilt, made to fit.

For occasions when only the finest will do, Kilts4All uses traditional techniques and materials sourced from the UK. You'll need an appointment to their showroom near King's Cross and, during a bespoke fitting, be advised on how to choose the right tartan from approximately 2,000 in stock. They recommend allowing between two to three months to complete the process.

Expect to pay about £650 for the kilt only, or £1,500 for an entire outfit. They also rent the full Highland kit through Jake's Direct.
