Of 20 destinations analysed within Britain, Windermere's hotels were found to have performed best, earning an overall rating of 83.28 per cent.
Torquay and Inverness completed the top three, while Birmingham and Brighton finished alongside London in the bottom three.
The capital's hotels were also rated Britain's worst in a survey by Hotels.info, published last summer. Its study followed criticism about high prices during the Olympic Games.
